daveywavey
Hi guys Just wondering how do you feel about Christmas this year do you think the government should stop families and friends mixing at home Wishing you all a good Christmas & new year 2
ktv303
It's madness. Every single person knows it'll make things worse in the long run. Purely done to placate the gammon in my opinion. If the excuse is "everyone will do it anyway" then there's no point of having any laws at all. Every other religion had to cancel their annual celebrations. I think we could do without it for just one year.
HackmanSlim
When you gotta act, you gotta act. The reality is, there are usually around 70 odd christmasses (sic) in one persons life ( this is rough approx for a healthy human being, not taking in things like... corona for example ?) one cancelled xmas is worth the risk to see all the others. people who have a problem with that, need to step back, and take it all in. I know xmas is a very important time in the year, but one lost xmas for the sake of many others, is no major loss imo Slim
Fon
I was really looking forward to seeing my dad this xmas. We had planned to all stay at home for a week before xmas to minimise social contact, However he's 76 and too nervous to meet us. So ultimately he decided that it wasn't happening. Iv got to respect his wishes but im a bit gutted to be honest. Fon

daveywavey
The thing is some of our older generation don`t want to mess around with new tech. Me and my mum who is 88 years old use the good old dog & bone for a chat on a daily basis . We should not make them do things that make them uncomfortable 1
Groundzero
Dont under estimate us older folk daveywavey we still got it, at least if I remember rightly I think we have 🙄 anyway looks like Christmas is now oficially cancelled, it's all changed now with the latest press release from No.10 with a Tier 4 upward change for most of SE England and other places with almost a total lockdown on everything 😥 Edited December 19, 2020 by Groundzero
daz2905
It will be a strange one for sure this year. Not just Christmas but New Year as well, there won't even be the usual fanfare and TV coverage. I'm not really sure if the new measures are over the top or not but I'll be following them to the letter to try and avoid a January lockdown but I very much doubt if the mindless minority will be paying much attention. It's crazy to see the fuckwits trying to flee London yesterday. Shoulder to shoulder and no doubt some will be taking the virus home to relatives. What a great Christmas gift to them and the rest of us.
Groundzero
I am on Devon / Somerset border and the number of morons towing caravans coming through here yesterday is just unreal, we dont want you bringing your viruses here thank you, and why hasnt the Government made it a legal requirement to wear a face mask anywhere in a public place except while eating or drinking not just while your in a shop, and why havent they forced caravan parks to close to stop this migration of the morons ??
