daz2905
For most of my life i've been a big boxing fan. It pretty much started as a kid from watching Rocky movies and then on to fights by the likes of mcguigan, Minter, Bruno and so on. You used to get real match ups between top 5 fighters for a shot the title and the fights were always well contested. Who can forget the fights between Benn,Watson,Eubank and Collins. Real quality. Then over the years it's become more about money, too many titles, no chances taken with prospects until they challenge for a title. Even the other week, 17 quid to watch Joshua and not even a title fight. Then now we have MMA and in particular the UFC. This has now overtaken boxing as my favourite fighting sport. Just pure action and the added interest to how different styles of fighters fare against each other. The sport is really coming into it's own now and it just gets bigger by the day. Unlike boxing, nobody seems to be ducking opponents and your always guaranteed entertainment on a ufc card. So whats your favourite. Boxing or mixed martial arts? daz2905
From the gloves that's MMA. The gloves is the only i thing i noticed TBH (I'm still signed in on home pc and mrs might see) . My money's on chick in red to hit her with a knockout blow with the left breast, it's about to exit with such force that it will destroy anything it hits. The part about boxing I could have wrote, exciting times watching these fights / fighters you mention oddly enough when there was less money and boxing was on ITV. MMA I have never got into so still boxing for me and the heavyweight division finally has some life about it again with fury / Joshua / wilder and potential Haye comeback. Zeftron
The early days of MMA, where you had different styles competing against each other were good to watch. Now it just seems to have descended into MMA being a style of itself and there isn't the specialism like there was before. They are outstanding athletes, but it's just missing that bit of individualism.

techmob
Used to watch boxing in the 80s,90s,00s Loved the Bruno,Tyson, Ben, Eubanks Always been in to sports and fighting in general, or had an interest in that. Remember going to a video shop and picking up ufc1 which was banned in most of the USA states back then. I was hooked, think this was 1996 So, I have watched up until a point recently, every UFC to date, including the pride which was decent too. Recently. Not been keeping up to date with all the small events as they are much more often now, and the ultimate fighters, probably few seasons behind. Following the media and bigger fights. Looking forward to mcgregor and Diaz, watched press conference tonight. Was decent.
