Mr_Spark
From what I see they have removed the 3.5mm jack, water proofed it and made the camera a bit better along with a speed increase. But will that get the iPhone 6 people and Android etc rushing to get one ? My view is its the 10 year anniversary next year and Apple will bring something innovative out then ? Snuffs99
Looking at their website, the new 'Jet Black' is only available in the 128gb or 256gb, not the 32gb Oh and their new wireless ear pods, extra of course Ripping off coonts Not an apple fan myself and would be the first to rip them apart but tbh wit the 7 they include a set of lightning jack wired headphones in the box AND they include the lightning to 3.5 adapter in the box too....pretty good for Apple IMHO. Think its a bit cheeky jumping from 32GB to 128 as 64 would probably be the popular choice for many, in that case yeah Apple are being conts as they know 32GB isn't quite big enough and as there is no 64GB version people will have to go for the higher 128...along with the much higher price tag. All in all pretty much what was expected tbh. Also given they do give way earphones and an adapter for 3.5 jack in the box with the phone i really don't get the whole drama over the removal of the headphone jack. Can relate to what Spark says regarding holding off buying one regarding aniversary next year etc but i've been waiting for a cheap quantum computer for te past 10 years, if i'd held off just incase then i'd never have had a PC. I will be getting one for my daughter for Christmas...She has a 64GB iphone 5 and we were going to get her a 64GB 6S but seems pointless to me getting the obsolete model if the new one is out......so with luck we get her this and she wont need another till the 9 or 10 comes out. Scorpion
The black finish issue is just a snob value thing. The report I saw said the lower memory phones will be available in black at some point, but they didn't say when. So, if you see someone with a black iPhone 7 - the user will feel assured that they are financially well off.

Re: Snuffs Upgrading from a 5 to a 7 is a decent jump in specs/speed of phone and worth it IMO. Going from an iPhone 6 (of which mine runs brilliantly and is in perfect condition) to a 7, not worth it. Definitely* waiting for the iPhone 8 next year and whatever the overhaul will bring. *Don't hold me to that

My Daughters iphone 5 is in mint condition so she can sell that for top whack and use the money towards credit each month to put on the 7. She can miss out on the 8 and maybe go for the 9 or even wait out till the 10 etc etc. Re: Snuffs

daz2905
As much as i love tech and gadgets i really find it hard to get excited about a phone. I use phones until they break then i buy a new one. I use mine to make calls, send texts, listen to mp3's , browse the internet briefly, sat nav and occasional photos. Pretty much stuff that any phone made in the last 7 0r 8 years does. I'm not at all fussed about anything more than that and what more could this iphone offer me? Gaming on a crappy little screen and paying a fortune for a tiny amount of storage . Apple charge way over the odds for their stuff and to make it worse it seems that 1 dollar is now the same as 1 pound when it comes to their pricing. Maybe i'm just getting old but i don't get the excitement or understand why anyone would camp outside a shop to buy one. I rely on my phone for my business but there are days when i feel like smashing it to pieces when it keeps ringing every 10 minutes and stopping me doing my work. It's not unusual for me to put it in the middle draw of my toolbox where i know it will lose signal. There a damn curse at times, i even get calls on boxing day and bank holidays FFS. This phone though is a waste of money, they'll throw everything at the next one and no doubt it will be something to talk about but at the the end of the day it will still be just a phone. It's not going to change anyones life despite the fact that all the twats you ignore down the pub will probably rush out and buy one. hoponbaby
Tbh every year you get the complaints about the lack of innovation etc etc. What exactly do people want to be added? It's a phone...... I won't be buying one, got a 6s at present, had a 5 before that and 3GS before that - tend to miss a couple of iterations in between upgrades as there's very little reason to keep changing

Snuffs99
You all have too much money, buying your kids iphones lol I wish i did have too much money mate, will be buying my daughters iphone from giffgaff @ a monthly rate for the next 24 months, saved up the bulk of the money for the phone so the monthly payments wont be that much but still wont be buying outright as i can't afford it....My daughter will be 14 by Christmas and the phone will probably be the only thing the wife and i will be buying her other than the odd pair of socks sort of thing......plus its why she wont be getting the 8 next year. lol
Clownfish
You just know that Apple didn't have much to offer when they had to pay Nintendo to bring in Mario for launch day news.
Boycie
Dressing turds with tinsel. No headphone jack, two cameras, retina scanning. I'm staggered by the leap in technology from the last model to this and you can play Mario =0 well worth the £700 just for that i jest. This sums it all up for me. I agree with that but I think the point is that Apple themselves play the innovation card more than it's realistic. Tweeking something that's been out for years and adding £500 to it just doesn't wash with some people fire some reason. Oh look it's got a fuckin camera too wow haha sent from my phone
xr4x4
Apple know they have fanboys, and that their phones are considered somewhat a status symbol... (not so much of late tbh) Nothing special in this new phone... oh its water resistant, not water proof as stated in post
