NoOne
Always knew the kids going back was a big potential vector for the virus. School is not saying much just some basic announcement. Im of the opinion this is just gonna have to go through the population eventually. Problem is some of us are high risk..myself included. ktv303
I think the clamber to "save the economy" put loads at unnecessary risk by opening schools and unis too soon. Looks like another lockdown is on its way now. They should have just waited till the r number where near zero never mind above one.
jakdos
We have to get the economy going again, otherwise we'll end up with far more hardship from failed livelihoods than we will from COVID. I can't imagine the financial pain we, and all our kids are going to suffer from this. I agree opening universitities might not have been a good idea, but we had to get schools back. My lad, 13 yrs old, has learnt bugger all this year, and there will be many more in the same boat. So not only will we have no jobs, no economy, but the next generation of kids will be ill prepared. They should have shut pubs etc much sooner. That would have helped with the spread in universities.
NoOne
Yeah the pubs nightclubs have just gotta shut. I understand a lot of jobs there are at risk but we have to make some sacrifices for the greater good. The schools are a massive risk though. All the usual mums are crowding around gossiping like nothings changed. Only a few wear masks on school premises. I home schooled my lad during lockdown, he learnt much more with me in a few months than he learnt in a whole school year. Problem is though, that is not for everyone and I was lucky as could work from home. Plus he was a right bugger messing me about and misbehaving. he is only in year four now, just turned 8. It must have been a nightmare for exam age kids.
Groundzero
They should have closed all none pub alcohol sales at 20:00 so they couldnt go out from the pubs at 22:00 go and buy more booze then party at someones house or have street parties. They should also ensure that the fines are getting doled out to the people breaking the rules on numbers, nothing hurts like getting kicked hard in the pocket but they seem reluctant to do it. Why bother making these laws if you dont enforce them and then have those that do abide by them put at serious risk by those morons who don't..
