Who got out of bitcoin?

When I first started trading I was worried the whole thing could collapse in a few mins.

It now appears with the news that china is banning bitcoin it a slow horrible death. (possibly a re bounce again) but my point is, there is soo much money invested that its not going to die in minuets, but probably if it does go pear shaped in days.

So who got out early?

Are you planning to jump back in again, (I am!)

I was at double my orig "stake" through mco (which I got out of just as it started to fall) and SYS too. I am just playing really and now I'm holding sys coin and I am happy to let it ride. Can't see what good me cashing in my sys coin last night would have done ? Maybe I missed a trick I don't know as I'm on coinbase so sell sys and end up with bitcoin which is crashing anyway. On reflection I think I may have been able to exchange (now) BC to even more syscoin as sys has dropped faster than bitcoin - I am content to leave it as is - I am now at about +30% ish on my overall cash value lol...Got to be honest I would say that I would be looking to invest in those dips in alt coins right about now...but I'm not as I don't know wtf I'm doing so will keep it as a punt rather than a serious investment lol.

guy from JP morgan said yesterday the bubble is about to burst big time, leading to a flash sale from bit coin holders, leading to an even bigger slump in its price, leading to more sales etc etc etc

the banks need it to fail so theyl do anything to make sure that happens

Only started trading a few weeks ago - just when things were really booming.

Whilst learning - and still learning!!! - bought a few different coins and am now at -22% on the £ price I paid (excluding fees). Bought at fairly high prices TBH but the one sale I have made, got me 103% so happy that I can double my money when I get the timings right.

Would be in a paper profit now if I hadn't bought into the Monaco hype and the end of Aug. :(

There's no way I'm selling anything though. Letting the lot ride. Will also be increasing my holding on a couple if funds permit in the hope that things return to a decent level in a few weeks.

Personally, I am looking at a mid- and much longer position as I doubtful I can day-trade myself into a profit and hope I can pick some decent long-term prospects.
Spread the load on a range of decent long term prospects whilst playing with short term coins to keep things ticking over.

Well Bitcoin has bounced right back up and above.

Is anyone still dabbling and moving around, the entire market looks to be so manipulated that it's difficult to see how as an individual you can have any more of a reasoned investment than putting the lot on a roulette wheel. Just looking at one today; Unobtanium which at 3:30 am was 54.50, by 4:30 it was up to 443 then by 6:00 back to 149. It's now bouncing around like a rubber ball! With the restricted exchanges that some of these coins are listed on is there even a real market to be able to get in/out when you actually want to?

I got out of alts back into btc, after ripple (XRP) raped me.

It's forecast that the btc price is going to go +++ with the bitcoin gold fork that's coming up on the 25th, so might be an thought to get into btc, then buy back alts cheaper while everyone's waiting for the btc gold.

(Just what I've read anyways - I accept no responsibility if you lose money :D )
