daz2905
Today is my first day off in 2 months, been working minimum 12 hour days after relocating my business. I would have had a ton of jobs to do if not for meeting this retired guy who now does odd jobs. What a result, my house is painted, new electrical sockets fitted that my other half has been banging on about for years and for once we're on top of everything domestically. Just pay other people to do that shit is my advice, takes much less time . We've had a bi t of a honeymoon period in terms of domestic maintenance , our house was new build 8 years ago so we've not had to do much but now the jobs seem to be coming thick and fast and the house is just way too big for only 2 of us. Like Fon i've had to replace bathroom extractors. Done 3 in 8 years and at £80 a pop you'd expect a quiet and reliable fan. We have these vent axia ones and they are totally shit, noisy as fook and designed to break just after the warranty expires. Same with taps, we have Bristan taps and showers, i've spent hundreds of pounds replacing the valves in them cause they are sealed and you need to replace the whole internal unit for leaks or temperature control issues. Even door latches, we have 13 doors and i bought a pack of ten door latches, in 8 years i've had to replace the door latches on 10 doors. Wtf, how is this even possible? The mechanism is crap and breaks and spring comes loose, these are made by a company called Arrone and are not even cheap. Anyway rant over, as you may have figured i've not been sleeping much lately and am slightly easy to irritate. Don't even get me talking about the reliability of air compressors and spray booth lights. Things just ain't what they used to be.
