corskey
My TV, phone and broadband package needs to be renewed in a month or so when we move back into our house. Was with Sly for a couple of years ( had to cancel TV as wall with dish was demolished) and was pretty pleased at them. Now is probably an opportunity to move supplier and get some intro offers as well as Quidco . What are the feelings here on these three suppliers regarding speed, uptime, FUP and customer service? Doesn't seem to be much between them on price and we don't have sport (unless its F1) or movies. Your thoughts are welcome Corskey
dopeydog
I've got my tv with Sky and my B/B and phone with Virgin, the best of two evils too be honest m8, just cancelled the sport package with sky after the special offer finished and they wouldn't budge on another deal,Virgin have just upped my B/B to 70 meg as a freebie but I'm waiting for a price increase looming. piggzy
Do not touch TalkTalk. Was with Plusnet (good service but expensive if you use the phone) always got the ful 78mb fibre 2 speed, switched to TalkTalk and speeds were awful 50 at best and up and down. You complain and they are fucking useless, eventually they tell you they will send a BT engineer but if the problem is internal or there is nothing wrong you will be charged £50. A couple of days before engineer visit is due speed jumps up to 78mb. Obviously you cancel enginner or you will be charged £50. Week later speed shit again. This happened 3 times over the course of the contract. Switched to BT 3 weeks ago and full speed without a single issue ever since. Not one complaint so far.

Wally
last year I switched to EE for my phone and BB (got good rate as a mobile customer). I get the full 72mb that I should and cannot remember having any issues since being with them...and I'm a fussy bugger too!
corskey
When I was with BT a few years ago their BT Smarttalk app was great where you could use your mobile over Wi-Fi. Does anyone else offer this? Thanks piggzy, I was being tempted by talktalk but was concerned about their poor customer service. Good to see that there is little improvement there . georgedawes
Plusnet gets my vote as well. I have had the 80meg fibre now since 2013 and never had a problem. I will be looking soon a Virmin Media though, as I'm f**ked off with BT's high line rental prices. My and our maude have unlimited minutes on mobiles and the line rental on BT is £18 a month which is only for the BB really.

daz2905
If you do move mate, please report back. My contract with BT is about to end and will be looking for a new one next year. Just worried that i might find myself on the wrong end of speed capping if i leave. We have fibre and absolutely hammer it, we've long since given up on normal tv and stream everything now. Not sure who to go with, sky is out of the question due to their habbit of giving customer details to any copyright lawyer who asks.
