daz2905 Posted June 18, 2020 Share Posted June 18, 2020 Worked throughout the whole thing and so busy now we're easing out of lockdown. Making hay while the sun shines because i think business will die a death at the back end of the year. Counting down the days until the pubs open. Not a huge drinker but do like a good dinner and a few pints in a beer garden. Hope the rest of you and your families are well. First day of lock down when the shelves were empty in the supermarket, I bought two months of frozen food from a food wholesaler. Dug an old freezer out the shed and filled it up. (iv now given all of it to the food banks) Then spent a small fortune on the garden for kids toys. I have two under 10's and thought they would probably be spending a year at home. We have slides, swings, inflatable hot tubs etc. Grass is now completely ruined! Im skint!! I invested what I had left in the companies making tests for the virus. At one point I had tripled my money, but got out of the shares today with just over double my money. Teaching the kids from home took a long time to find a routeen, but we finally got one and it wasnt as hard. (Bare in mind im already a teacher so I didnt have to learn the skills of teaching. Just the subjects and routeen that worked.) Then Iv been called back to work. The Mrs is trying to now teach them from home (shes not a teacher) And work from home at the same time. Its difficult! Work is a pain in the arse. We have to fly wearing face masks. Not the doctor type you see on the tv, more something that looks like a welders mask. Water is running into my eyes from sweat! Everything takes longer as we have to clean inside the aircraft first. With being invested in testing iv been looking at stats daily. I personally think more people have died than the goverment has admitted. Im comparing total deaths regardless of reason from year to year. Initially the (belated) lockdown was a good move but easing the restrictions was a big mistake this early, and for the sake of looking "good" in the eyes of the public, the figures that are being reported now I feel are somewhat inaccurate . How do I know ? Well I don't , but when you got a virus of this nature doing the rounds, a lot of people are going to die irrespective of lifting the restrictions or not. Easing the restrictions for the sake of the economy is genocidal and idiotic. If I had a choice between losing my life, or going back to the ways of a caveman, I'd choose caveman any day. Sounds funny when I read it back, but this shit has been documented before, take the technology away, take the conveniences of life away , and that is exactly what you get. Some are hoping to start rehearsals at the end of the month others are saying it'll be next spring so fuck knows really. How you all doing? I went to Spain, and was in quarantine for two weeks without pay.we ordered the test kit and believe it come from amazon 😂 results came back negative, but could not return to work for 14 days 😩 just installed a ssd hardrive, but run out of space for another red cable 🙁 so had to take one away from disk drive, which I don’t think we use anymore. woukd there be adapted to add another red cable ? then a bit of DJ on a Friday night. were all in this bubble and cannot wait to get out of it👍🏻 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'm still getting full pay so just trying to enjoy the time off really. What kind of stuff do you play? I've got dj gear but realty use it these days. I've only been in turn a couple of times for clorhes n stuff and aye it was rocky dead. Meet someone in a pub one Friday night a week or so ago too and we where the only people there.
