Ever since I was a kid, iv thought summer started when the marathon was on the tv,

For me its when the sun arrives i think its summer....here in Manchester thats about 2 weeks of may-june before its then grey and pisses it down for the rest of the year.

 

Normally its around school summer hols isn't it though really.....For me and Mrs snuffs its only a few years before we can leave our daughter at home and fook off on holiday as and when throughout the year without having to take a fine for taking her out of school before summer hols.....Oh and an upside is as i'm not married to the missus and my daughter was born before 2003 i legally have no parental responsibility so can't be fined either, i'll take the £60 fines over £120 all day long.

yesterday was my ideal "summers" day really, not too hot, watched the scottish cup semi then the english one, then sat out the back drinking freezing buds with a bbq going.

sheltered from the breeze by big hedges and only the occasional giant bee to send people running (well just me really)

ate too much drank too much got too much sun and fell asleep on the couch about 8ish

Summer for us started the other week when the sun came, did first cut of the grass and the BBQ was dusted off. Love it [emoji16]
