suke
Anybody have one or had experience of one? Wondering whether to get one or not. Which is the best one? Should you pay a lot of money for one? Don't really want to do anything serious with it but just use it as a toy or plaything. Any thoughts anyone?

Scorpion
A buddy of mine had a really nice quad. It had all the bells and whistles, Inc the 'return to Base in case of a problem' thing. He watched what happened to it in real time thanks to his live view goggles as it dive bombed into a scottish loch.Never saw it again, 2 grand in the drink. suke
I guess the moral is NOT to spend a lot of money on one.
Scorpion
Like gambling, only spend as much as you can afford to lose.

suke
I have the AR drone 2.0. Used a few months ago to check my the brackets for my antenna were ok, but i dont use it much as im to worried about loosing it Decided to buy this one. Been quite windy here last couple of days so tried inside to get hang of it. Decided its a bit difficult inside so went to local park. First battery and i'm trying to get hang of it. Like how it takes off and then hovers. Changed to second battery, took off and it then shot skywards, must have been 20 to 30 metres high and have got no control whatsoever. Pressing every button including he emergency but cannot regain control. It starts to move off forwards of me and eventually came down in some allotments. Not the best of starts and I am now same as you, a little bit wary as to what its going to do. Nearly lost 250 notes.

josweet
Im not familiar with the rules here regarding sales, but im assuming that its ok to "yes" , HOWEVER, no deal/sale should be done until an advert has been placed in the correct section ? Maybe admin could advice here.

Any sales offered through the site must adhere to the following rules. http://www.datashack.co.uk/showthread.php?tid=39 Whilst we can't really stop peeps selling via PM or emails etc from experience its always best to have everything in the open so there are no "mis"understandings etc etc. Re: Snuffs
