sinistermonk
As above, I'm trying to find this very old battery type that was used in cycle lamps when I was a kid. does anyone know if you can still get this type of battery anywhere (by a different manufacturer? under a different name? you know like LR6 is to AA) TIA SM
Fon
if you know the voltage we could help you lots, All the other numbers (amps etc) is irrelevant. Its voltage and size of the physical battery we need to know. You could also use a transformer plugged into the mains if you dont need it portable. sinistermonk
I can't remember the size of teh battery exactly, probably 4 inches tall, 3 inches wide and an inch thick. Its 3 or else 4 volts at a guess. I would like to find an example of the original battery type if possible. I had heard they were still made abroad, but I've not found anything as I only know them as a type 800. They are most likely known by some other reference. HackmanSlim
I am sure I tried drinking from one of them cans once before, a very acidic taste i must admit hehe On a serious note, great bit of nostalgia there, they actually might be worth something !!! Found this bit of info http://www.radiomuseum.org/r/ever_lamp_battery_800.html Here's a bit of something else I've found http://www.ebay.com/itm/ANTIQUE-EVER-READY-MINI-LANTERN-WITH-DOUBLE-800-BATTERIES-/331571016891
