ktv303
when things like this get called BRAZEN vandalism? right its on private land, fair enough but its UNUSED land, they made it bloody better and even made bins ffs yet the media would have them flung in jail. they should be praised for making something out of nothing ffs Shock as brazen vandals create illegal basketball court and mountain bike track on Perthshire estate https://www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/news/local/perth-kinross/455156/shock-as-brazen-vandals-create-illegal-basketball-court-and-mountain-bike-track-on-perthshire-estate/
goldringers
Thats the country we live in, were so hell bent taking care of sh!t that doesn't matter we tend to forget the bigger picture. Why don't the land owner pay and get them removed ?. There'll probably be a small team investigating this for the coming months. I know one thing, I wouldn't like be the one that has to retrieve the basket ball when it fooks off down the hill
ktv303
i was thinking of why dont they just leave it alone, the land is unused, some one spent time and effort to create it so people could use it. i mean how dare they play sports games on unused land when they could be up back closes sniffing glue or hitting up the whackybacky for god sake. daz2905
When i was a kid we'd have been trying to burn down the trees, i don't know what the guy's moaning about. Seriously though, when we were kids we had a loads of playing fields, parks and waste ground to hang out in. The kids now have nothing but badly designed parks with safety more in mind than fun. I live on a newish housing estate and the kids have 1 play area and one of the residents who's a councillor kicked up a right fuss and got all ball games banned from it. The prick shouldn't have bought a house next to play area if he doesn't like kids playing. To the front of my house there's a field that borders the national forest, the kids have built a den in some woods, as well as using the footpaths to ride there bikes on. Seems pretty normal for kids to do that, just like what happened in that story. Although i've got to admit, those Scottish kids put the English to shame with the quality of what they built. If they are going to go to these lengths, it kind of shows that the community needs to look at what's needed to keep these kids amused and out of trouble. Sh4ckles
I disagree ..... apparently the woods, part of Cultybraggan Farm, have been nurtured by landowner Dr James Irvine and his team to form a wildlife-friendly area for the benefit of the entire community and these teenagers erected a “gang hut” on the secluded site, between Comrie and the Cultybraggan Prisoner of War Camp, and created a shooting range, portals had been cut in the sides of the hut, with targets found some 50 metres away. Now supposing you was out walking you're dog iwth a family member like son or daughter and one of them get hit in the face with a pellet ? I understand what you're saying but that part worried me, fine put a hoop up or race around on bikes but shooting? Maybe I'm getting too old

Totally disagree with you there mate, however if you feel that they should be allowed to do what they want on someone else's property and be left alone then why don't you invite them to come build huts and bike trails etc on your land?? And whats to say they are not sniffing glue or smoking weed etc in their "hut"?? I very much doubt they are knitting cardigans. Maybe I'm getting too old get what your saying about the pellet guns right enough but any scot will tell you the "we created a wild life area" is code for we never did anything for years. the councils have used the same excuse for decades. i was thinking of why dont they just leave it alone, the land is unused, some one spent time and effort to create it so people could use it. i mean how dare they play sports games on unused land when they could be up back closes sniffing glue or hitting up the whackybacky for god sake. Re: Snuffs mate theyre playing basketball, riding bikes and shooting signs. whether theyre have a puss is neither here nor there cause theyd be doing it anyway. its not a case of would i allow it on my land cause if you look at the area its in the middle of nowhere, nowhere near the farm and nowhere near the village. a quick look at the comments of the locals on the papers page shows what the locals think of it, as Daz says its kids doing what kids do, did you never have a hut or a bike track? National parks are on the middle of nowhere too so can we all go build huts and what not? Yes i was a kid and yes i did some really stupid things but i've grown up and know that many of the things i did as a kid were wrong. Sure building a hut isn't the end of the world and nor is making a basketball area etc but thats not the point in any way...the point is its NOT their land and it should not matter if its in the middle of a town or 100 miles from any life, it isn't theirs and they have no right to build anything or alter it in any way, end of. Its also very easy for locals and others to not be bothered too much by it when again its not the locals land is it, usual bullshit argument of its ok as its not in my back yard....Well its not OK at all and the problem with this country is that people don't see that there is a problem and just brush it off as kids being kids.
