daz2905
I bought a Dell Inspron 15 N5050 second hand laptop for work from ebay. Machine arrived, not bad spec but has a knackered hard drive and the seller has refunded me £25 to get a new one. Not that bothered about storage so was just going to get a 250gb SSD and use that. I'm thinking it will be fine and that sata III will be fine in a machine that currently uses sata II but would appreciate a little confirmation that it will be ok and is there any particular make i should avoid? I'm planning on buying a Kingston 2.5 ssd for about £50 on ebay.
Rusty
Yes it will be fine, is backwards compatible. The difference will be night and day as well.
