Hello all.

Well I think the weather has now changed, and it's time to fire up them bbq unless you already have.[emoji6]

Have you got some good recipe or tips to share?

I am going to try:

Coca cola gammon

Ingredients

1.5kg Smoked gammon joint

1 litre Coca cola

1 large peeled carrot (chopped into 3)

1 large onion (peeled and cut into quarters)

2 Stalks of celery (Cleaned and roughly chopped)

Method

Remove all packaging from gammon and rinse in cold water

Place in any saucepan that is large enough to hold the gammon and be at least 15cm taller.

Add the full bottle of cola and the rough chopped vegetables.

Bring to the boil, then simmer for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Then throw it over bbq, to your taste.

Leave to rest in the cola for ten minutes and then remove to rest for another ten minutes.

Carve and serve.

Make sure you use original Coca Cola (no diet/caffeine free etc. varieties).

Can be served with Yorkshire Pudds and Roast Spuds as a Sunday Lunch,

or with a salad or with Chips & baked beans or however you choose with your bbq.
