daz2905
I'm looking to buy another desktop. Was considering building it myself like i normally do but time is a factor. Not just the time involved to build it but also the time to read up and catch up on what's good and not so good. Anyway i was browsing ebay and came across one that someones trying to sell and he wanted £600 for it or best offer i decided to take the piss a bit and bid £450. He asked £550 but i blanked it and now he wants £500 to sell for cash without ebay. Negotiation are not finished but is it worth £500 with the following specs? I would probably want to add a ssd and use the other drive as slave. Processor :AMD FX8350 Black Edition 8 Core Processor (4.0/4.2GHz, 8MB Level 3 Cache, 8MB Level 2 Cache) [with very quiet cooling fan, even under load] Motherboard: Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 SKT-AM3+ Motherboard Memory: HyperX FURY Series 16GB (2x 8GB) DDR3 1866MHz Graphics: EVGA Nvidia GTX 970 SSC ACX Cooling 2.0 4GB Hard Drive: 1TB 7200rpm Seagate Barracuda PSU: Corsair CX 600 Watt ATX/EPS 80 PLUS Bronze OS: Genuine Windows 10 Pro (pre-installed) Case: CiT Goblin Mesh Gaming Case (Black/Green) - Front USB 3.0, Front Audio, Tool less
Snuffs99
Worth it mate, graphics card alone is at the £250 mark, the mobo is nice with decent chipset (should have some good upgrade potential left) , generous amount of mem etc. If you bought the parts just the Motherboard, CPU, Memory and the gfx card and your at £500+.
daz2905
The deal i asked about fell through. Apparently someone else wanted it and he tried to play us off against each other, i told him to fook himself and never heard back. Yesterday i got this, 6 months old pc from with 2 and a half year warranty left. NZXT H440 MID-TOWER GAMING CASE (BLACK/RED) Overclocked Intel® Core™i5-4690k Quad Core (3.50GHz @ upto 4.60GHz) Gigabyte Z97X Gaming 3: ATX, LG1150, USB 3.0, SATA 6GBs, XFIRE/SLI 8GB KINGSTON HYPER-X FURY DUAL-DDR3 1600MHz (1 x 8GB) Zotac GeForce GTX 970 Graphics Card - 4 GB GDDR5 120GB KINGSTON V300 SSD, SATA 6 Gb (450MB/R, 450MB/W) 1TB 3.5" SATA-III 6GB/s HDD 7200RPM 32MB CACHE Corsair H100i Hydro Series High Performance CPU Cooler ONBOARD 6 CHANNEL (5.1) HIGH DEF AUDIO (AS STANDARD) WIRELESS 802.11N 300Mbps PCI-E CARD Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit w/SP1 - inc DVD & Licence Monitor samsung s24D391 full HD with gaming option tt gaming keyboard + razor naga molten mmo mouse ozone gaming mouse pad trust speakers Turtle Beach gaming headphones with built in mic Cost me £600, i'm very happy with the deal. Hopefully i'll get a few years at least until i need to change. I don't game much but have always tended to buy or build gaming systems because they tend to be ok for years until you need to upgrade. Just need to start the process of migration to the new one but the old pc will be used at work where it's badly needed.
