mobisat
Below is my hack for an Andrew James vacuum food sealer. Save yourself a fortune. May work with other makes. Enjoy. [video=youtube] These are the vacuum pouches that I used, obviously there are other suppliers, sizes and thicknesses. http://www.vacuum-pouches.com/index.php/vacuum-pouches/vacuum-pouches-65-micron/vacuum-pouch-65-200-300.html

legolamb
why did i just watch that , i havent even got a bag sealer That's what I thought but it's actually quite educational, I didn't know the bags are textured to allow the air out, Is it me but if you're going to freeze something cant you just put it in a bag in the freezer without having to buy the vacuum sealer? I hate to think what the bacon will taste like when he fries it in that bag or is it a master chef thing and he'll poach it?
mobisat
You don't get freezer burn on the meat and you can store in the freezer for longer. As you suggested they can also be used for sous vide cooking (boil in the bag)
