Vixen
As a Christmas present I was given a Dashboard Cam, only just set it up last weekend. I think they are brilliant and should stop people putting in false claims against you. Has anyone else had/got one and what do you think of them? Crashuk
Have got a front facing cam. Use it regular when i can remember to connect it lol. Seems like a good purchase but not captured any incidents yet. I disconnect it when parked up, worried some oik will smash a windows to nick it.

daz2905
I bought one at christmas, i think it was wally who recommended it on datacave. Very impressed, good picture in daylight and not bad in the dark but does catch the glare off the rear number plates and i can't read them. Well worth the £28 it cost, didn't want to spend more because it's not like i get a reduction on my insurance for having one. I leave mine plugged in, i don't live or work in a high crime area but if i go somewhere rough i'll probably disconnect to stop some idiot smashing my window to steal a cheap camera. The picture on mine is really clear in the day and at night it also has sound on as well and you can take an instant camera shot as well. daz2905
I may have it set up wrong. Perhaps i should use the night time led's or something. I'll try it tomorrow. This takes pictures but you need to set it to that mode and press a button by the time i did that i'd have crashed. Records sound but seems a little muffled, i'll try talking to myself tomorrow and see if it records my voice any better than the radio. I'll probably look like a bit of a nutter with my led light and talking all the way home but i'll give it a go. I bought this:here

mitchb
Anyone recommend one that's good quality for a reasonable price. Seem to be a lot out there , many of which I'm sure will be poor quality.

daz2905
The one i linked to ain't bad at all. Seems they've gone up a touch but you can get them on ebay for under £30. Don't forget to budget for a micro sd, mine is 32gb and cost about £8 on ebay.
