Wally
It may look similar to virtual reality headsets like the HTC Vive, Playstation VR and Oculus Rift, but Microsoft's headset works in a completely different way. Rather than immersing users in a virtual world (VR), HoloLens is an Augmented Reality (AR) device. That means it actually overlays computer generated images onto what you can normally see, seamlessly blending in everything from virtual pets to diagrams of human anatomy. josweet
Well, that counts me and 80% of the general public out from buying one. At that price, it wont be for home use by the kids, mostly aimed at the rich and corporates. Another fail from M/S "While Microsoft hasn't officially announced a price for the consumer version of HoloLens yet, we do know that the developer units slated for the end of this year will cost a whopping $3,000 (£2,105) a pop
