Snoopers Charter to be Challenged

Not sure if everyone knows, but ISP's now have to record all of your internet history for a year, even if you are guilty of no crime, and this info is available to over 50 gov organisations including the Gambling Commission, the Food Standards agency etc.

Also the government can also hack your phone / laptop / PC legally for whatever reason.

Hopefully this draconian law gets the boot, as it's currently being challenged.

people just have too much freedom online it would seem, their ability to gather information on most topics has the gov quaking in its boots.

the war on terror is just as much a bullshit excuse to curtail your liberties now as it was when it was years ago imo

Yep agreed.

I also think it may also be in case people try to rise up against the gov like remember the riots in 2011? was it when people were using the likes of twitter etc to organise themselves.

Remember a few weeks ago with the Manchester Attack, disMAY's response was to ban encryption and censor the internet :(
