Who will win the election and by how many seats ?

I am voting Conservative for the 1st time in my life; I don't agree with radical socialism and believe it would be a disaster.

However the main thing is everyone votes and everyone respects each others decision.

I predict a Tory win by a +70 seat majority

Your thoughts ?

Cant vote tory never have and prob never will. So big dilemma for me personally. Can't bring myself to vote labour with Corben in charge. So do I not bother or go vote and write they all a bunch of Cnuts on the ballot?

I think the torys will win but not by as much as predicted in the media.

Must admit I have voted conservative in the past but I think its now time for a change. Do not like Corbyn one bit but the policies the Labour party have come up with I like, so they are getting my vote. Still think the conservatives will win but have a very reduced majority. Think Mrs May thought she was going to walk it after having such a big lead over labour. Bet she wishes she had stuck to her word and not called a general election.

I won't be voting. If it was going to be a close run thing in my area then i'd vote but it's a safe Tory seat. Here's my Tory MP HERE

The guys a total twat, astrology to solve the NHS problems FFS. He's from Surrey and lives a 150 miles away from us and i have no idea what he actually does for our area but i'm not even tempted to make a protest vote because the last thing i need is to wake up to a communist government tomorrow. If my voted actually counted for something other than voting that guy into a safe seat then i would make the effort but fook him.

I dnt always vote but I'll be voting snp. The tories have just never even been an option in my neck of the woods and since Blair the labours have been no different.

I predict either a hung parliament or just a slight tory lead. The snp will lose a few seats cause they can't win all the seats all the time.

The only thing that will prevent Scotland breaking away in the next 5/10 years will be a Labour win.

Tories for me, i'm thinking about Brexit and terrorism, Corbyn would rather sit and have a cuppa tea with ISIS than fight them, we already know he loves the IRA and god knows what sort fo hippy loving deal we woudl end up with after brexit with him in charge.

Always been Labour myself but Tories it is....forget the policies/manifesto etc, its called a wish list and Labours is simply that tbh.

Current odds at the bookie.

If you bet £1 that the torries will win, and your right, your get £1.16 back

If you bet £1 that labour will win, and your right your get £17 back!

£1 on no overall majority is paying £5 back.

I've not been sure at all TBH. I do think that all parties have had at least one policy I could align myself with.

My ward and my city have been Labour for as long as I can remember and as such I think anything other than a Labour vote locally is wasted. However, nationally, I have found myself leaning more toward the Tory policies.

Unfortunately for Labour I have a distinct dislike and distrust(?) of Corbyn personally and cannot reconcile him being the leader of the country.

For me the best ballot paper would have been 2 questions.

1) Who do you want to represent you locally?

2) Who do you want to lead the country?

Tory win by 50+ majority.

Lol aye mate, they barely mentioned Indy during their campaign. It was the other parties that constantly went on about it due to them having little or no policies about anything else really.

What about the cuts in the NHS the police the dismantling if the welfare state, selling arms to the funders of terrorists etc etc all the day to day things that govs do. The tory manifesto barely mentioned any if it

Some of Corbyn's policies sound great the kids, but they are pie in the sky. Where the hell is all the cash going to come from to re-nationalise everything? I have always voted tory, but do agree that critical infrastructure should be state owned, but that ship has sailed. You can't buy it back again with bugger all in the pot. The thing that scares me shitless with a labour win is that Red Len gets more power, demands everyone in the public sector goes on a 20 hour working week and 50% rise and then the entire country is fecked again.

I'm 46 now and already seen labour feck the economy twice by spending beyond our means, the tories come in, spend ages trying to balance the books, only when they finally manage to do so and have the chance of increasing spending, jo public has had enough and votes labour back in.

I have a horrible feeling that given the shock results of brexit and a trump win, we are going to corbyn voted in, the leader of a party in which anyone who really matters despises him.

tories to win, but only just and maybe even a weakened majority.

Theresa May is set to win the election – but looks set to be down on the results from 2015, according to an extraordinary exit poll.

The exit polls, released as voting closed at 10pm, put the Conservatives ahead of Labour.

However, the remarkable prediction suggests the UK could be looking at a hung parliament.

They show:

Conservatives on 314 seats

Labour 266

SNP 34

I just hope they are as far out as they called the brexit vote.

Thinking about this a bit more.......If you are in opposition and believe you truly have no chance, you just have to spout 4 policies that will bring everyone (who does not think rationally) on board....

1. Billions for the NHS

2. Billions for Eduction

3. Tax the rich

4. Nationalise everything.

And yes, it's fully costed by Dianne Abbot so we know we are in a good way.

I think their just trying to make politics interesting with these exit polls.

I'm off to bed and when i wake up i expect this to be all a load of bollocks and the conservatives to have an overall majority with Labour only winning inner city and northern shitholes like they normally do.

Haha i was thinking the same, its a poll by BBC itv channel 4 and sky?? says it all, they want people tuning in all night on the edge of their seats, if it was a done deal so to speak no one woudl be watching.

Well at least i hope thats how it is. :D

Well, woke up to the worst possible outcome.

Forget your political alignment, as a country we are now in a position where no fecker wins and everyone loses. No strength in solidarity, no means to get anything done thru' parliament.

Well its somewhat backfired on Mrs May.... Hung Parliament

Q. 1) Will she fall on her own sword and step down ? If so who would take over.......

2) Who will the Tories get in bed with to create coalition ?

3) Is this bad news for the country ?

What a mess. Looks like BoJo for the next PM. I really don't get why people voted for Labour based on policies but it really has put a spanner in the Brexit negotiations.

May's got to go, she effectively lost a one horse race.

DUP coalition

Yeah, it's bad news. We needed to be more united for the Brexit negotiations.

Why?,

Tories win and are still in power,

Labour lost and are not in power,

May will not resign,

Lets face it some short memories here, it weren't long back when a lot of MP's within the Labour party wanted Corbyn out. He wants get his fookin front garden first. He invited the press to interview him at home, they declined;-

He offered them a snack , again they declined;-

May tried a power grab and it spectacularly backfired on her.

She seen she was 20 point ahead in the polls so tried to get rid of the opposition once and for all but now she'll have to go cap in hand to the Ulster mentalists to have any chance of still running the gov. Looks like even with them she'll still only have a majority of one so it'll be nearly impossible for her to get anything through if the opposition do its job.

My next prediction is bojo becomes pm and there's another election within a year.

Just look at the map and which party won what, It used to be a more or less a straight north south divided but its your next door neighbor divide now.

One thing for sure is that this country as a whole is so fractured its unhealthy. Take Scotland for instance, sure the SNP have the biggest party but they took a real beating and it shows many scots are as fed up as the rest of the UK and that independance is not really whats in most scots minds.

Time will tell but i can't see May holding on to power tbh, i think she'll be pushed like Maggie was.

So the Tories do a deal with DUP and all's well, they have the most MP's , the most votes , so how the fook have they lost ?. I'm telling you, people will forget this in a few weeks like Brexit. Life goes on

Lee Westwood explained it the best:-

The Tories won but lost , Labour lost but won ?? please explain

Well they lost as they didn't make it over the line mate, simple really. Instead they had to be dragged over by the DUP so its no longer a Tory government, its a coalition government which equals a loss IMHO.

Tories will now find it much harder to get any of their ideas etc passed in the house of commons as they have lost seats, quite a few at that...... So yeah Tories are still clinging to power but they are sharing and will feel it when they want to get anything done etc as they can be defeated much easier now than they could a month ago. Not only that May will be going mate, no way the tories can leave her in charge now...so again thats a loss IMHO.

For me the worse thing about this result is the conts like Gina miller and what not who wil no doubt be taking credit for it etc while in reality they are just splitting opinions and causing far greater divides. People may forget in time but don't be under any illusions that Brexit is forgotten mate as its really not.

On a positive note the result has made Sturgeon open her eyes over a second indi ref, its clear from the result that Scotland does not want another vote so she will take it off the table....so thats a small negative for ktv but big positive for the UK as a whole.
