daz2905
I'll be getting up at 3.00 am tomorrow morning to watch UFC 207. Then i think we'll just go for an indian tomorrow night which is the only place within walking distance and pop in to my mates for a midnight drink on the way home. The choices are limited for us, there's not a pub anymore in the village where we live and it limits us. Not too bothered about NYE, always seems to disappoint, even when i was a big drinker i didn't like it that much. Just full of people lining up at the bar and restricting my alcohol intake. The best new years were back when i was younger and spent quite a few raving in fields with thousands of others, i miss those days. I think as you get older it becomes less of an event unless you are surrounded by family and friends. We're kind of isolated where we live and speaking to other people makes me think it's not worth the effort because there seems to be no single place where my family or friends are meeting up, nobody can be bothered. daz2905
lol, i'm 46 ffs. Radio 1 has been replaced by Radio 4 in my car. I ain't kidding either! Don't you remember being in your teens and early twenties and being out and about and seeing some old twat in the corner of the pub/club and wondering WTF they're doing there? I'd now be that old twat.

chizh
Fretting about my daughter going to a party with her BF. Trust her/them implicitly but a house party on the daftest party night of the year in Bandit Country? Not so sure TBH, but got to give kids space and hope they are not surrounded by dicks. Not one for celebrating NYE if I'm honest. Boring old fart. Might go to the flicks with the mrs. then into M/cr for the fireworks if it stays dry.
